AI Futures Grants Partners
Find out more about the organisations that have been awarded the AI Futures Grants, a UK Government initiative supporting the relocation of talented AI researchers and engineers to the UK.
Each grant partner has been awarded to cover relocation expenses for their AI researchers and engineers, including:
- Visa costs (including for partners and dependents)
- Immigration health surcharge (including for partners and dependents)
- Disposal or intended disposal of current residences
- Transporting belongings
- Travel and subsistence
Our grant partners
Apollo Research
Apollo Research is an AI safety organization. They specialise in auditing high-risk failure modes, particularly deceptive alignment, in large AI models. Their primary objective is to minimize catastrophic risks associated with advanced AI systems that may exhibit deceptive behavior, where misaligned models appear aligned in order to pursue their own objectives.
Archangel Imaging
Archangel Imaging deploys smart machines alongside people to protect valuable assets and at-risk staff in remote or challenging places. Their smart devices can be retrofitted to other machines to make them smarter and more resilient in a changing environment, independent from any infrastructure. Their Argonaut™ AI cameras watch for poachers in Africa, oil thieves in South America or potential suicides on the European railways. Their GENIE™ navigation units enable any drone to independently navigate and complete missions without GPS signals.
Atla AI
Atla trains models to catch errors, monitor AI performance, and understand critical failure modes. These models helps developers run fast and accurate evaluations, so they can ship quickly and with confidence. Generative AI can only reach its full potential when it consistently produces safe and useful results. Atla are a team of researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs and operational leaders, with experience spanning a variety of disciplines, all working together to build reliable and understandable AI systems
