Cultural Innovations: Immersive cultural experiences in the Middle East
Cultural Innovations (CI) brings cultural projects to life, supporting clients in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the wider Middle East. Its work covers the strategic planning, developing and design of museums, as well as cultural, arts and science centre projects.
From the initial visioning phase through to architectural brief development, exhibition design and operational planning, CI manages every aspect of a project’s lifecycle. The firm also provides strategic business planning for both emerging and established cultural institutions.
CI's portfolio features notable projects including the National Museum, the At-Turaif world heritage site and the Irqah hospital redevelopment in Saudi Arabia. The Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre in Kuwait, one of the largest science museum developments globally, highlights CI’s impact.
In Dubai, CI’s strategic input and design expertise have been instrumental in shaping Art Jameel and the Al Qattara Art Centre in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi.
Today, CI’s projects include heritage sites and a corporate museum in Bahrain, as well as art and craft centres, science centres and feasibility and technical advisory services for new museum projects.
Since 2022, CI has been a key advisor on major master planning projects in Saudi Arabia, contributing to NEOM, King Salman Park, the Jeddah Institute of Making, Central Riyadh, and several UNESCO World Heritage sites.
By collaborating with cultural institutions, governments and development authorities in the Middle East, CI delivers bespoke cultural solutions that resonate with local contexts and audiences.
