UK-India HealthTech Accelerator Programme 2025

Expanding on the success of the two previous editions of the 'UK-India HealthTech Bootcamps' (2023 and 2024), the UK government in India is launching its next edition of the 'UK-India HealthTech Accelerator Programme'. This will offer Indian companies long-term support to learn about the UK’s health ecosystem, develop market access strategies, and explore potential overseas partnerships.

The programme is being organised in collaboration with UK’s Government National Health Agencies and Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster Foundation, an initiative of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.

Eligibility criteria

Indian companies with solutions to address the following NHS challenges are eligible for this programme, including:

  • workforce innovations that support NHS staff by improving efficiency and streamlining workflows, including data analytics for better patient care decisions and AI/ML tools to enhance integration
  • health system strengthening solutions to enhance primary care access, expand community-based care and improve patient care pathways
  • waiting lists innovations that help manage NHS waiting lists, such as prioritising patients and improving elective treatment and cancer diagnostic pathways, including solutions to enhance patient experiences in hospitals
  • early diagnostics innovations that enable early disease detection leading to timely and cost-effective interventions
  • urgent and emergency care solutions to prevent or reduce unscheduled care episodes, speed up ambulance care and improve patient discharge processes
  • healthy society, healthy aging and FemTech systems that connect people, platforms promoting physical and cognitive health and remote therapies, including solutions supporting caregivers, easing healthcare system pressures and addressing gaps in women’s health such as reproductive health, menopause and maternal care

What’s next?

Submit your applicationopens propel.bckic.in in a new tab by 15 March 2025. The shortlisted applicants will be given an opportunity to pitch their business ideas virtually from the 25th to 28th March 2025.

After that, the top 25 companies will be invited to participate in the UK-India HealthTech Accelerator Programme, which will run in 2 stages:

  • Stage 1 includes 25 companies participating in a three-day fully funded Accelerator Programme in India
  • Stage 2 involves 6 companies from this cohort being selected for a fully funded, bespoke programme in the UK, providing the opportunity to engage directly with the wider HealthTech ecosystem

Previous success from the UK-India HealthTech Bootcamp:

In 2023 and 2024, more than 400 companies expressed interest in the UK by applying for the Bootcamp programme.

  • 20 innovative companies have visited the UK and have been integrated to the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) pipeline
  • 53 companies have participated in the India leg of the Bootcamp and received a crash course on the UK’s HealthTech ecosystem and entering the UK market
  • 3 wins claimed, with a total investment value of £22,925,000 and 70 jobs created
