C.NICOL x ELEPHANTASIA AT LONDON FASHION WEEK

Earlier this year we were asked by Fashion for Conservation (FFC) to join a group of international designers, each creating an individual piece for FFC’s latest campaign ‘Elephantasia’.

The mission of FFC is to protect wildlife and their habitats in collaboration with fashion designers, conservation organizations and media influencers. This season’s exhibition Elephantasia is fashion fighting for elephants, and every species adversely affected by poaching.

We created a bag for the campaign that emulates ‘the elephant’. The ‘Elephantasia’ bag is made from a natural leather alternative; pineapple leaf fibre and non-woven textile, Piñatex® in vibrant shade, ‘paprika’.

One of the highlights of the campaign was the runway show during London Fashion Week which took place on September 18th at Freemasons’ Hall, London.
