Home to over 150 luxury boutiques, restaurants and cafés, Bicester Village sought to appeal more to families by incorporating a unique adventure playground.
TouchWood designed a distinctive, high-quality play area to captivate children and complement the countryside setting. The concept revolved around rural village life, featuring central tower structures that mimic historic village buildings. These towers provide numerous routes for children to explore, including nets, tunnels, slides and climbing opportunities.
The playground offers adventurous elements like log hops, balancing logs and hollowed-out ancient tree passages. Children can navigate through a wildwood tree forest, climb high nets and explore a treehouse. A net tunnel leads to the village spire, where children can slide to the ground or cross a V-bridge to further explore.
Since opening, the playground has been a huge hit with visitors, enriching their experience.
