Mr. & Mrs. E retired to Belgium and had rented their former home for a number of years. It had become run down and they also wanted to achieve a better level of rent and a better quality of tenant.

Stella Hockley undertook a basic level refurbishment for Mr. & Mrs. E, which involved:
• Updating all electrics in order to make the property compliant;
• Installing a brand new kitchen and bringing gas into the room;
• Installing a brand new bathroom, which involved instructing a surveyor and removing a chimney breast that was very much taking over the small room;
• Redecoration throughout;
• Sanding and varnishing floors in most rooms / replacing carpets in others
All for just over £20,000

Stella Hockley did not ever meet Mr. & Mrs. E in person, everything was arranged and authorised via email and phone calls.

The 3-bedroom property was successfully let to a couple who planned to have children, both of whom worked for banks in the City.
