Importation of machinery from China to the EU

One of AWP’s best selling products are the adjustable ESD work tables. Their regular supplier let them down and it was necessary to find another manufacturer from outside the EU. As AWP had no experience of importing from the rest of the world they needed support with commodity codes, incoterms, customs declarations and logistics including incoterms.

The International Trade Consultancy took over the project of importing the ESD work tables and managed everything from start to finish. The commodity codes proposed by the supplier were not suitable for imports to the EU so The ITC found the correct equivalent and was able to advise on the associated import duty. The commercial invoice and bill of lading also needed to be amended in accordance with EU customs regulations to ensure smooth import. An appropriate logistics partner was found and The ITC oversaw the customs paperwork and shipping process from collection from collection from the factory to delivery to AWP’s warehouse.
