Simplifying imports to the UK from the EU post-Brexit

After Brexit the lead-time increased by 4 weeks. Costs also went up as the supplier charged €150 per order to cover the administrative burden of the Certificate of Origin and providing the transport company with the information they needed to do the export and import declarations. We worked closely with the supplier in Germany and the UK transport company to determine the current process and identify where the delays were occurring and why. With the agreement of the German supplier, a streamlined process was designed that eliminated the need for a CoO reducing the export process fee. We designed a streamlined process to improve the efficiency and speed of delivery.
