Local Heritage Storytelling promotion in North Pennines UK.

The North Pennines tourism board, which caters to a beautiful rural region spanning Cumbria, County Durham, Northumberland and North Yorkshire in the UK, used WAM Tourism Platform to publish local events and heritage information in realtime.

This enabled tourists using WAM app in the rural North Pennines region to search and orient towards local event locations & heritage places along with engaging with audio/video oral histories.

Local artists, historians and events organisers collaborated to curate local heritage content as text, images, audio and video.
Local tourism board based in Stanhope, regional museum members, administrators at the Ashton Town were trained to publish this content on WAM Tourism Platform.

The region was presented with an Analytics Dashboard to monitor how users were engaging with the services in their region.
