Solid State Retrofit on Defense Application

A leading defense customer of Solid State Disks required an emulation of their obsolete Adtron flash drive as well as some functional improvements before approval. They needed a dual Flash card drive, where data could be written to both cards simultaneously. All of this work had to be completed within a tight time frame to eliminate potential host down time.
The Challenges:
1. To design a modified SSDL SF250 product to the revised requirement
2. To create a prototype, so that the customer was able to trial and request further modifications
3. To design a SF250 adaptor to meet the customer’s requirement.
4. To complete the design and approval testing within a tight deadline.
