Engineered White Ash Flooring - Font Hill Mews London

New York loft style living in North London. Fonthill Mews, formerly a Victorian mews in Finsbury Park, London, last incarnated as drab 1980’s styled offices has been magnificently transformed into a collection of 22 New York loft inspired houses and apartments.
We worked closely with the lead architect /designer who inspired by the beautiful white wooden floors in the Saatchi Gallery specified wide plank engineered Douglas Fir flooring for the Mews development. We persuaded him to reconsider and select a more durable hardwood instead - White Ash and stained the flooring a translucent White for a low maintenance, hardwearing alternative. In addition we added a unique floorboard profile (extra long-tongue / gappy) which defines the floorboards for a contemporary edge, and understated drama .
