Engineered White Ash Flooring at RIBA London 2018 Winner

Our engineered White Ash Scandinavian Style flooring was installed at The Gin Distillery, London last year. This project won a RIBA London Award in 2018 and was shortlisted for the RIBA House of the Year Award. We persuaded the architects to choose a more durable floor than their initial choice of Douglas Fir flooring with a White Lye & Soap finish. Open Practice architects went with our recommendation of engineered Ash flooring. We stained the engineered White Ash flooring a translucent white for a hardwearing, low-maintenance Scandinavian style white wooden floor. The combination of white walls and white washed wooden floors maximise natural light and emphasise the eclectic mix of original architectural detail and a minimalist interior.
