Custom app development for Wates Group

Wates Group provides building services to public sector housing groups throughout the UK. Operatives complete hundreds of thousands of jobs annually at homes across the country. Transmedia was tasked with building a mobile database system for Wates plumbers, carpenters and electricians to manage the entire process themselves. Using company-issued iPhones and the custom-built Transmedia application, operatives now download jobs before they leave home each morning, use a Google map to find the address, take before and after photographs and collect new jobs received that morning. The data integrates with web services such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Thanks to improvements in efficiency through the use of the mobile app, operatives now complete around 30% more jobs every month.

Wates employs its own database development staff to support the projects built by Transmedia and staff regularly attend our database design courses in central London.
