Cloud-based Web Application for Data Submission & Reporting

This project required the creation of a custom interface for hundreds of users of the web application and around a dozen private sector technical interfaces, as well as various agency users, other UK Government users, and a pan-European system.

The application required compliance with over 300 pages of interface specifications, the migration of undocumented data schemas, and the replacement of over 20,000 lines of undocumented Python code. There were no technical contacts familiar with the previous system, and IB Boost was required to migrate hundreds of users and their undocumented permissions, while increasing data quality, improving up-time, reducing infrastructure costs and improving operations efficiency.

All stakeholder needs were met, and the application provided significant operational cost savings with massive functional extensions. Service availability was 99.9% and data quality was 98% (over 99% when user errors were adjusted for).
