Walther-Bothe-Straße is located within the "Weiße Stadt / Walther-Bothe-Straße" development area to the south of the city center, for which urban development funds can be used for selected measures as part of the federal-state program "Growth and Sustainable Renewal - Upgrading". The redesign of the public space is one of the key projects to be implemented as part of this program. The eastern Walther-Bothe-Straße is an inner-city collector road running in a west-east direction, which also has an important access function for the adjacent residential areas. The lanes are very generously dimensioned and parking on both sides of the road is mainly perpendicular. The streetscape is therefore dominated by cars and the degree of sealing is correspondingly high. Due to the high degree of sealing, urban areas in particular are faced with the challenge of finding a suitable way of dealing with extreme weather events, which can include heat, drought or heavy rainfall. The aim of the planning is therefore to redesign the street in a climate-resilient way in order to demonstrate how it is possible to create public spaces within the existing structures of a district that help to withstand the climatic requirements of tomorrow. To this end, the city of Oranienburg is looking for a suitable, experienced office/team of landscape architects and traffic system planners to provide planning services in accordance with Section 39 HOAI (service profile for open spaces) and Section 47 HOAI (service profile for traffic systems) in all required service phases. As part of the award procedure, the bidders must prepare proposed solutions, the quality of which will be taken into account when awarding the contract (see points 5.1 and 6.6 of the procedural conditions). The preparation of the proposed solutions will be remunerated (see point 5.6 of the procedural conditions).
