Description
In order to connect the largest inner-city residential and working district currently under construction, the Europaviertel, to Frankfurt am Main's public transportation system, the City of Frankfurt and the Frankfurt am Main Transport Company (VGF) are extending the light rail line into the district.
The new section "Light rail line B, section 3 - Europaviertel" extends beyond Frankfurt Central Station to the Wohnpark station. Four new stations will be built on this route: the underground station "Güterplatz" and the above-ground stations "Emser Brücke", "Europagarten" and "Wohnpark". The planned extension of the light rail line has a total length of approx. 2.6 km.
Due to the inner-city location and a high number of contract units, SBEV GmbH (AG) intends to commission a construction logistics service provider with the overall coordination of the processes to ensure that the construction work is carried out in a target-optimized, cross-trade and timely manner. This includes transport coordination, supply and disposal, production and provision of media connections/supply, provision of 26 containers for the trades carrying out the work, erection and provision of approx. 27,000m³ of scaffolding in several sections as well as comprehensive area management of the restricted construction site areas.
A large part of the construction site supply will be carried out by rail by the construction logistics company. The towing equipment and the required wagon are also part of the tender.
