Description

WSP USA, Inc. has been contracted by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to perform bridge inspection of several state and local owned structures located throughout PennDOT Districts 2-0, 4-0, 8-0, 9-0, 10-0, 11-0 and 12-0 in Pennsylvania. The inspections are scheduled to be performed from March 2025 to December 2025. WSP USA, Inc (WSP) has three subconsultants, A&A Consultants, Inc. (A&A), NTM Engineering, Inc. (NTM), Specialty Engineering, Inc. (SEI) who will be using the agreement resulting from this bid package to inspect their assigned bridge inspections.
WSP, A&A, NTM, & SEI. (TEAM) will require services of a contractor to provide the following Bridge Inspection Access Equipment and Maintenance of Traffic services:
Bridge Inspection Access Equipment
1. 60’ under-bridge inspection crane with two rotating turrets, three-man minimum capacity bucket, power supply to the bucket, 60’ minimum horizontal and vertical reach, driver and operator. All cranes and operator qualifications must meet ANSI Standard A92.8 Bridge Inspection Crane.
2. Bucket Lift Vehicle with a 30’ minimum vertical reach and a driver, with knowledge of the lift operations. The TEAM’s bridge inspectors will operate the lift of the Bucket Lift Vehicle to gain access to various portions of the bridge.
3. 80’ Telescoping boom lift, Self Propelled, 4x4, rough terrain, with operator knowledgeable in lift operations.
4. Shadow vehicle(s) as required per Publication 213
5. Traffic control (MPT) consisting of warning signs, flags, cones, two-way radios and flagmen in accordance with PennDOT Publication 213. The contractor must be able to provide any of the short-term traffic control patterns as shown in the Work Zone Traffic Control Guidelines (Publication 213) with current revisions.
It is possible that a portion of these inspections will be performed on a Saturday or Sunday. We realize this type of work may require overtime pay for workers and will be agreed upon prior to authorization of work. Work time restrictions may vary depending on the approval of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
