Project-accompanying evaluation of explorative application scenarios of AI-supported assistance systems for people with (severe) disabilities in the world of work as part of the KI-Kompass Inklusiv project

Brief description:
Within the KI-Kompass Inklusiv project, the opportunities, but also possible obstacles to the benefits and use of AI-supported assistance technologies are to be explored in a participatory manner within explorative application scenarios in the form of practical laboratories. In the employer practice labs, solutions will be developed and tested as to how and under what conditions AI-supported assistance technologies can contribute to better inclusion of people with disabilities in the general labor market. A total of three employer practice labs will be accompanied, whereby these will be distributed across the three rehabilitation worlds (vocational training centers, vocational promotion centers and workshops for people with disabilities). Under the condition of the use of AI-supported assistance systems, the central objectives of the employer practice labs include the human-centered development, testing and evaluation of AI-supported assistance systems as elements of a socio-technical workplace setting for people with disabilities in the general labor market; the identification of success and inhibiting factors in the transformation of non-inclusive workplaces into inclusive workplaces and in supporting the transition from vocational rehabilitation to the general labor market; and the development of recommendations for the inclusion of people with disabilities in the general labor market. As part of the employer practice laboratories, a process-accompanying evaluation is to be carried out in close cooperation with the client to collect, evaluate and continuously improve processes, activities and results (see service description).
