Short description:
The participants\/inside receive a well-founded basic knowledge as well as the necessary know-how in the field of nutrition in order to be able to carry out needs-based and preventive nutritional advice. Knowledge of the theoretical principles and how to put them into practice is imparted.
At the end of the course there is an examination by the training provider.
Contents of the course include
Theory:
- Fundamentals of nutritional science
- Nutrients, vitamins and trace elements and their functions
- Energy metabolism and energy requirements
- Water and fluid balance
- Performance-enhancing substances
- Nutritional supplements
- Diets and different forms of nutrition
- Role of nutrition in sport
- Nutrition for illnesses
Practice:
- Nutritional advice
- Anamnesis interview
- Writing nutrition plans
- Keeping food diaries
- Body fat measurement using current methods
- Determination of BMI
- Interpretation of BMI and body fat etc.
- Calculation of basal and performance metabolic rate
- Calculation of calorie requirements
Framework agreement running until 31. 12. 2027 with an option to extend for a further year.
Three calls per year are planned.
