Description
The Allan & Jean Millar Centre is a recreation facility that has been owned and operated by the Town of Whitecourt since 2008. The facility includes an aquatic centre, fitness centre, fieldhouse, child minding area, indoor playground, track, meeting spaces, squash and racquetball courts, fitness studios and more. This high traffic facility serves many sport user groups and families and individuals engaging in drop-in and registered recreational activities, especially during the cooler months. The Carlan Services Community Resource Centre is home of the Whitecourt Food Bank, Family Support Services, a daycare and gymnastics club space. The Town is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit providers for food vending machine provision and operation at the Allan & Jean Millar Centre and Carlan Services Community Resource Centre.
Both facilities support and encourage healthy habits and in extension, would expect that all food items sold within the facilities align with this. Vending items that are deemed more nutritious are preferred.
