Description
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS or Department), Florida Forest Service (FFS) seeks to obtain competitive bids for the herbicide treatment of 218 acres of invasive vegetation within Picayune Strand State Forest, located in Naples, Florida. The project site, comprised primarily of upland plant communities, was recently thinned via mulching to improve habitat for wildlife and to reduce vegetative fuels that pose a wildfire risk. Various invasive plants have begun to colonize the site, and the Contractor will be responsible for the control of FLEPPC Category 1 and 2 invasive species. Treatments should be completed before June 30, 2025.
