The xHE-AAC codec is included in the Android operating system and is provided and maintained by Fraunhofer IIS under the name "Fraunhofer FDK AAC". The close cooperation with Google includes continuous improvements and bug fixes, e.g. in the introduction of Loudness\/DRC or the elimination of vulnerabilities uncovered by Fuzzig. Software developers with detailed knowledge of the Android operating system, its interfaces and the development environment in the context of audio codecs are required to support the FDK team. Furthermore, flexible working hours and a willingness to travel for an annual project meeting (Erlangen-Tennenlohe) or to attend the Android Bootcamp (USA) are required.
