The city of Alsfeld is planning to convert and upgrade a part of the building at Alicestraße 22 into office space; engineering services are being tendered for the project planning; the implementation of the project primarily includes the preparation of a change of use application, the tendering and supervision of the renovation work as well as fire protection and infrastructural adjustments. Specifically, it is necessary to provide the existing offices with new floors and wall paintwork, while individual areas still need to be converted into offices. The entire electrical distribution system and the sanitary facilities need to be brought up to date or rebuilt. In addition, fire protection measures for the adjacent depot need to be implemented, particularly on the first floor. The building has its own central gas heating system. The top floor ceiling (roof space) is to be insulated; the future office building will be completely vacated at the start of the conversion work; see description for further details.
