Description
The subject of this contract is the delivery, installation and commissioning of the
pyrolyzer described in more detail in this service description (Rock-Eval
type) including user instruction. The client (AG) is the Federal Institute for
Geosciences and Natural Resources, Stilleweg 2, 30655 Hanover.
The BGR requires the pyrolyzer for the material analysis and characterization of the
organic material in geological solid samples (e.g. non-sedimentary and sedimentary
sedimentary rocks incl. coals, bitumen, soils) by means of
temperature-programmed pyrolytic digestion and simultaneous detection of the hydrocarbons and
hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide released in the process. Through the use of
different heating rates, the kinetics of hydrocarbon release can be determined.
