Description

The subject of the procedure is the procurement of a power meter with suitable measuring heads.

This device is required for measuring the optical output power of a Nd:YAG laser OPO measurement setup.

The measuring device must be compatible with an existing energy measuring head
(Coherent J-50MB-LE).
The measuring device should enable the measurement of the laser power and also the laser pulse energy.

The device must meet the following specifications\/parameters:

- Handy design with clear, concise and easy-to-read display of the relevant information (measured values)
- The current value should be displayed digitally but also in an analog equivalent display
- It must have a backlight that can be switched on and off
- In addition to operation from a socket, the measuring device must also be usable via rechargeable batteries
- The measuring device must be compatible with thermophilic, optical and pyroelectric sensors to ensure a wide range of applications
- In addition, it should have an analog output (±1 % accuracy) that can be set up to 1 V, 2 V or 5 V (full scale, selectable)
- It must also be possible to connect to a computer via USB
- Compatible with Windows 10
- Software for controlling the measuring device and reading out and saving the measurement data is included in the scope of delivery or can be obtained from the supplier\/manufacturer at no additional cost and with little effort.
- Interfaces to LabVIEW
- can output simple statistical functions such as maximum, minimum, mean value and standard deviation
- The sampling frequency for power measurement should be at least 10 Hz and it should be possible to measure up to 300 pulses per second for energy measurement

The power sensor must meet the following specifications\/parameters

- The power sensor must be compatible with the measuring device
- It should be a thermophilic sensor designed for relatively high peak powers, as is typical for Nd:YAG lasers with nanosecond pulses
- The measuring range must be between 10 mW and 10 W with a resolution of 1 mW
- The diameter of the active sensor surface is 19 mm and it is a volume-absorbing sensor
- Simple replacement of the volume-absorbing material in the event of destruction or impairment would be advantageous
- Spectrally, the sensor head should cover a range from 250 nm to 3 µm
- The sensor material must be designed to withstand pulse energy densities of up to 2 J\/cm2 at a wavelength of 1064 nm and 10-ns laser pulses
- Furthermore, the sensor material must be suitable for an average power density of up to 50 W\/cm2
- The calibration uncertainty is ± 1%
- The spectral compensation accuracy should be ± 1.5 %
