Description

The state capital of Hanover carries out urban redevelopment and modernization projects. A characteristic feature of the Social Cohesion Program is that the various subject areas such as housing, social infrastructure and the local economy are considered and dealt with together. In the context of urban redevelopment measures such as the modernization of buildings and the redesign of infrastructure by private and public investors, there may be adverse effects on the economic activities and framework conditions of traders in the redevelopment area. In order to ensure the fulfillment of tasks in accordance with Section 180 of the German Building Code (BauGB), the City of Hanover intends to set up a commercial social planning system (or to continue the commercial social planning in the redevelopment area accordingly).
