In future, the Sillenbuch community center will be home to the Sillenbuch district office as well as the citizens' office and the social welfare office's office for living in old age. In addition to the district office's wedding hall, the building also houses a citizens' hall with an associated foyer and checkroom. On the ground and garden floors, there will be space for a new permanent library for the district under the management of the cultural department.

High energy requirements are to be met by the building structure and technology. The building is to be operated as energy-efficiently and sustainably as possible using innovative concepts.
