Description
The Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises of Berlin (SenWiEnBe) plans to implement fiber optic expansion in underserved areas in accordance with the economic viability gap model pursuant to 3.1 Gigabit Guideline of the Federal Government 2.0 (Gigabit-RL 2.0). External service providers are to be commissioned in accordance with No. 3.3 of the Gigabit Directive 2.0 to provide technical support in the preparation, commissioning and monitoring of the subsidized expansion and the handling of the subsidy management. Together with the SenWiEnBe department, these service providers are to plan and carry out the steps necessary for the targeted implementation of the subsidized expansion on the part of the state of Berlin. They are therefore service providers for the subsidized expansion, but the expansion itself is then carried out by telecommunications companies.
