The Schleswig-Holstein State Office for Immigration and Refugees (LaZuF) operates a state accommodation facility (LUK) in 24598 Boostedt, Rantzau-Straße 10 in part of the former Rantzau barracks with a current capacity of up to 2,500 beds for residents (as part of the site concept, the capacity is expected to be reduced to 1,250 residents in the course of 2025). In special situations with a high influx (e.g. war in Ukraine), occupancy may increase temporarily. Other locations in Schleswig-Holstein are available, but are not part of the offer. The State Office is the responsible immigration authority and contractual partner.

The residents are advised and cared for by a care association \/ company. Their meals are provided by a catering company. The security service is on site 24/7. A police station on the premises is manned Monday to Friday during the day. A medical service (ÄD) has been set up. This corresponds to a general medical practice (see service description below).

The self-image and commitment of the State Office as the responsible body and landlord of the LUK to a welcoming culture and the goal of integration-oriented distribution of residents with prospects of remaining and support for the sustainable return of residents without prospects of remaining must be lived and supported by the service provider both conceptually and in terms of implementation. The special need for protection of children and other vulnerable groups of people must be taken into account when designing accommodation, advice and support and suitable measures must be taken to implement this.

At night and at weekends, security staff are always present to call an ambulance or similar in the event of an emergency.
