Description
The recent upheavals on the energy market have also had an impact on OOWV as an energy-intensive company. For this reason, the topic of energy self-sufficiency has been pushed forward in recent months. As an initial (partial) project to achieve the highest possible degree of self-sufficiency, a ground-mounted photovoltaic system (FFPV) is to be built in the immediate vicinity of two waterworks sites. A significant proportion of the electrical energy generated in this way is to be used on site to cover the waterworks' own requirements. The surplus is to be fed into the public grid of the local energy supplier. The required areas and plots of land are already owned by OOWV. The plan is to construct two FFPV plants in the range of 5 to 7 MWp at the Großenkneten (LK Oldenburg) and Thülsfelde (LK Cloppenburg) waterworks sites. Both plants are to be planned and constructed in direct temporal connection.
