Description
The project aims to introduce a future-proof, cloud-capable SAP solution that ensures seamless integration into our existing IT landscape. A central concern is the provision of real-time data for budget, order and cost tracking in the operational areas as well as the replacement of legacy systems and the harmonization of our system landscape. We also want to reduce operating costs (TCO) and improve the quality and availability of our data. The SAP solution will be implemented on the basis of best practice processes. Deviations from the SAP standard must be applied for and approved. Consultant solutions are only provided in exceptional cases. In the implementation project, we attach particular importance to the clean-core approach. Customer-specific developments are not implemented in the SAP On-Premise Business Suite, but on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), where they are connected to the SAP system via the Integration Suite. This also applies to the development of Fiori apps and interfaces. In the course of introducing a new SAP system, we opted for the greenfield approach in order to redesign our business processes from the ground up. During the project, we are working with the implementation partner to check whether it may be sensible to migrate individual components from the old SAP system to the new SAP environment. In principle, however, we assume that this will only affect a few components. In 2024, fit-to-standard workshops were held to examine how BIM's business processes could be mapped in SAP. These findings serve as the basis for the process design and requirements definition in the new system. The implementation should be completed by the start of the 2028 financial year. To ensure successful implementation, we are looking for an experienced external service provider to support us from the planning stage through to the detailed design and final implementation. BIM GmbH intends to use an EVB-IT system contract for the execution of the service. Remuneration will be based on the services actually rendered, with invoices to be provided on a monthly basis. The client expects a detailed cost breakdown and an overview of the personnel expenses from the supplier at the latest after completion of the "Process design and requirements" project phase. The rest of the project is to be managed and monitored on the basis of this information.
