Description

The Pößnitz mine water treatment plant (GWRA) is located north-east of the town of Schwarzheide, approx. 500 m north-east of the BASF Schwarzheide GmbH site, in a moderately wooded area. At the time of the start of construction, there is moderate growth in individual areas on the construction site itself. The GWRA Pößnitz was built and put into operation in the 1960s. It was mainly used to treat the mine water from the Meuro and Klettwitz opencast mines. At present, the water lifted from the vicinity of the mine water treatment plant as part of LMBV mbH's remediation activities is treated and fed into the plant via the Pößnitz watercourse. Since the beginning of 2018, the water from the two horizontal filter wells 8 and 9 from Senftenberg\/Brieske has also been discharged for treatment. The plant was designed for mechanical-chemical purification and thus serves to remove the predominantly dissolved iron and increase the pH value. Due to over 50 years of operation, the individual structures are in need of renovation. In addition, the entire plant technology is also in need of renovation or can be operated more cost-effectively by using other units while complying with the future discharge values (in accordance with water law permits). There are also deficits in the EMSR technical equipment. This is no longer compatible with the VDE standards. This invitation to tender describes work to upgrade the Pößnitz mine water treatment plant to maintain its functionality and also to manage the GWRA during the construction period (until VOB acceptance). The work involves a section-by-section and fundamental refurbishment of the structural substance (partly with replacement construction), the technical and instrumentation and control equipment including the connecting pipelines as well as the access route from the BASF plant site (core area) to the GWRA including the adaptation of the outdoor facilities. The aim of the construction project is to repair the plant in such a way that it can continue to operate for the next 15 to 20 years in compliance with current and future water regulations.
