The municipality of Bietigheim\/ Baden is planning to convert and extend the existing 3-storey school building, with basement, into a 3-stream elementary school with a new canteen\/ event area and a single-field sports hall.
The old building and the janitor's building were examined by experts for pollutants. Renovation on this basis will be carried out on site before the actual construction work begins. At the same time, the janitor's building and the eastern entrance porch will be completely demolished. The interior of the existing building will be completely gutted and the wooden roof trusses demolished. The existing building will be given an extension on the east and west sides with additional classrooms on the first and second floors.
