Description

The Fridtjof-Nansen-Realschule in Gronau is a 4-stream secondary school with after-school care. The current school building consists of four components. The concept includes the renovation and restructuring of the existing buildings from 1939 (BT 3A) and 1957 (BT 3B) and the addition of a 3-story building (BT 4) as well as the creation of a connection between the old and new buildings. The northern building from 1968 (BT 1) will be demolished and replaced by a new building. Part of the technical basement will remain. The eastern building will be partially demolished (BT 2), renovated and restructured and supplemented by an additional staircase on the third floor and the construction of a new stairwell (BT 2). The existing facades from 1939 and 1957 will be further developed while retaining the brick facades.The construction project is divided into two construction phases with three components each.The first construction phase comprises the reconstruction and renovation of components 3A and 3B and the new construction of component 4.The second construction phase comprises the reconstruction and renovation of component 1 and the new construction of component 2.The basic renovation will be carried out in two construction phases during school operation.
