The flood of the century in summer 2021 is one of the largest flood disasters in Germany's history and caused severe damage. Bad Münstereifel, which is considered a medieval gem with its almost completely preserved and restored city wall, was severely affected by the flood event and especially the historic city center suffered severe damage. The surrounding districts of Eicherscheid, Iversheim, Kirspenich, Schönau and Arloff were also not spared from the flooding. Among others, the cemetery in Iversheim ("An der Ley/Buschhöhlenweg") was completely flooded. When recording the damage, it was found that the sidewalks and also the graves were largely washed away and in large parts no longer recognizable. The exact location of the graves is currently unknown and must be checked against any existing cemetery cadastre and inventory as part of the planning process. A volunteer cleanup effort has already removed large portions of the mud and floating debris. Temporary paths were made of sand, so that the cemetery is again accessible to visitors.The procurement measure at hand concerns the open space planning according to the HOAI.Concrete damages and measures:1. main paths- pick up and dispose of asphalt- removal- recompaction (earth subgrade)- build up frost protection layer- restore paving2. Secondary roads - removal - recompaction (earth subgrade) - water-bound surface 3. Greenery and fencing- removal of subsided area- renew fence4. Wall (protected monument) partially destroyed- Restore
