Description
The district of Steinfurt is planning to renew the K 15, section 5 Roter Berg in Westerkappeln, starting from the L 584, Bramscher Str. to the state border with Lower Saxony \/ the district of Osnabrück. The construction project begins at the L 584 state road at station 0+000 and continues to the state border at station 3+244 over a total length of 3,244 m.
The K 15, Roter Berg crosses the Natura 2000 area DE-3613-304 "Wäldchen nördlich Westerkappeln".
FFH preliminary impact assessments (FFH-VP) must be carried out for these Natura 2000 sites. In addition, a general preliminary assessment of the project must be carried out to determine whether an EIA is required. Furthermore, a landscape conservation plan (LBP) must be drawn up and a species conservation assessment (ASP) level 1 must be carried out. In addition to the complete basic services, special services (mapping of biotope types, tree cavities, breeding birds and amphibian surveys) must be provided. Bat surveys must also be carried out in some areas.
The work is to begin immediately after the contract is awarded. The services are to be completed in December 2025.
