Description

The district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in its function as the responsible authority, intends to extend the Staffelsee-Gymnasium Murnau at Weindorferstraße 20, 82418 Murnau. The school is divided into an old building, a new building and a gymnasium area. The old building was constructed in 1980, the new building was erected in 2000 and extended in 2007 with an annex for the canteen and all-day care. The gymnasium with the changing rooms was built together with the old building in 1980 and renovated in 2008. 380 m² of usable space is to be created by adding a storey to the administrative wing of the old building. The room program is to be developed and coordinated by the contractor as part of the basic evaluation and preliminary planning together with the client and in coordination with the user, the funding authority (Government of Upper Bavaria) and the school supervisory authority. The total construction costs (KG 200-700) are based on the funding guidelines of the funding agency of the government of Upper Bavaria and, according to the current state of knowledge of the administration, amount to approx. 4 million euros gross. For the pure construction costs (KG 300-400), a gross amount of EUR 3.1 million can be assumed. The client is committed to the "low-tech" approach. The measure is therefore to be planned in such a way that the use of technical solutions is reduced as far as possible and the extension is to be clearly structured and simply constructed. The lightest possible construction should be chosen. Cost-intensive work to reinforce the foundations must be avoided. As part of the project preparation, a preliminary structural analysis was carried out to determine the feasibility of adding a storey. The district attaches great importance to an attractive school building design that is conducive to learning. In this context, the client is expressly open to a fundamental redesign of the external appearance, which dates back to the time of construction. The contract period begins with the award of the contract, which is expected to take place by November 2024. The start of construction work is planned for spring 2026, completion for early summer 2027, commissioning in summer 2027 (start of the school year); the contractor's services are to be aligned with this. The client aims to ensure that fire protection planning is continuously integrated throughout the planning process with the involvement of a fire protection expert.
