Description

THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SENSOR SYSTEM FOR 3D MEASUREMENT OF SPECIFIC WAVE LENGTHSIn the production of fresh horticultural products, knowledge of the physiological ripening stage of the harvested product is of great importance for care measures in production, determining the time of harvest and post-harvest measures. Due to strongly varying growing conditions, also caused by global warming, modeling of fruit ripening development and commercial harvesting robots are in demand in practice. The ATB will continue to conduct preliminary research into the data basis for modeling work and the derivation of specifications for harvesting robots. In recent years, spectral-optical methods for fruit quality analysis have been developed and infrastructure for plant analysis under field conditions has been established, and a sensor system for contactless measurements (close range remote sensing) on plants under field conditions is currently required. The sensor system is to be operated under field conditions on a stationary circular conveyor for plant sensors at the ATB in Potsdam. For this purpose, the electronic and software connection of the sensor system to the existing circular conveyor must be made possible.
