The delivery of two different tree substrates in accordance with the applicable FLL recommendations for tree planting part 2 for construction methods 1 and 2 within the city area of Nuremberg is required for the period from 01.01.2025 to 31.12.2026. Deviating from this, the AG recommends the following

For construction method 2 (buildable substrate) (measured at target compaction DPr = 95 % and WPr = 95 %) grain size 0-22 to 0-32 mm, slurry grain content (diameter is less than or equal to 0.063 mm) 5-10 mass %, total pore volume is greater than or equal to 40 volume %, maximum water capacity is greater than or equal to 30 volume %, water content on delivery < Wpr, pH value 5.5 to 7.9, organic matter content 1-2 mass %.

Regional raw materials should be used as a priority for the production of Nuremberg Road Tree Substrate. The materials must be harmless and quality-controlled. The tree substrates to be supplied must comply with the precautionary values of the BBodSchV (Federal Soil Protection and Contaminated Sites Ordinance) (see BBodSchV , Annex 1, Tables 1 and 2).

When submitting the tender, the bidder must submit a suitability test in accordance with FLL - Recommendations for Tree Planting Part 2 to prove the suitability of the substrate in terms of construction and vegetation and the relevant environmental pollutants of the BBodSchV. In its test certificates, the contractor must specify the main fine soil group for each substrate in accordance with the valid pedological mapping guidelines. The measured pollutant values must be compared in tabular form with the precautionary values of the specified soil type. For mixed-grain soils and soil mixtures that cannot be assigned to a specific soil type, the precautionary values of the main soil type silt\/clay can be used as an alternative (source: Bavarian State Office for the Environment, Handling of soil material, edition 2022, page 105).

The test certificate must not be older than one year. The total delivery quantity for the above-mentioned period is approx. 7,600 tons; the share of construction method 1 is approx. 6,400 tons and construction method 2 approx. 1,200 tons.
The delivery will be distributed over the above-mentioned period in partial quantities on call as specified by the client. The tree substrate to be supplied is to be delivered within the city area of Nuremberg within 3 working days from the date of the order. The client has the option of extending the contract until 31.12.2027 for an additional quantity of 4,000 tons in total (construction method 1 with 3,200 tons, construction method 2 with 800 tons). The unit price remains unaffected.
