Description

The creation of a CO2 reduction pathway for the entire Sprinkenhof building portfolio requires intensive processing and evaluation of existing information and data. Sprinkenhof's entire portfolio comprises approx. 800 buildings with an area of around 1.7 million m²; manual processing does not appear to be sensible or expedient. A software solution is being sought to support the individual process steps for the creation and final presentation of a total CO2 reduction pathway and the dynamic work with it.
Due to the large number of buildings and the very different data sets for the individual buildings (valid energy consumption data for the buildings is not always available), it should be possible to create the reduction pathway primarily on the basis of less required master data for each building and offer the flexibility to implement these in the pathway without great effort if data sets change. It is also necessary to be able to calculate the building stock back to the base year 1990.
It should be possible to categorize buildings and estimate their energy requirements on the basis of a few details that are known for each building, such as year of construction, area, use and energy source of the heat supply. Standard versions of the building physics and system technology as well as their life cycles should be automatically derived and it should be possible to correct, specify and supplement the entries. It should be possible to import subsequently available energy consumption data without great effort, so that any energy requirements initially estimated by entering the master data can be easily replaced and the quality and reliability of the results can be continuously improved. The country-specific regulatory targets and the associated decarbonization paths for achieving these targets should be known to the tool and be applicable. The expected service life of the building envelope and system technology as well as the possible supply options (e.g. district heating, geothermal energy) at the location of each individual building should be stored. It should be possible to transparently simulate the implementation of action plans for a building, a selected portfolio or the entire building stock with regard to life cycle costs, ROI and effects on decarbonization, among other things, as part of the reduction path. It should be possible to dynamically adjust the sequence of measures according to company-specific criteria and boundary conditions, taking into account available real budgets, among other things. It should be possible to calculate different scenarios (e.g. with different budgets) in order to compare the results and derive decisions. Ultimately, the software must also enable standardized and individual reports "at the touch of a button".
