Description
The construction site is located in 56841 Traben Trarbach, Schottstraße 28. The area under construction comprises the parcels 1\/11 and 1\/8 in the Trarbach district, parcel 10. The neighbouring parcels 78\/1 and 5\/6 were also acquired by the city as an extension area for the outdoor facilities. The Schottbach, a third-order watercourse that is piped from the southern boundary of the property, runs roughly across the middle. The total area covers approx. 2,650 m². The vacant daycare center building is currently located on the property. This will be completely demolished prior to the project due to a lack of building fabric. A pitched roof is planned for the two-storey building, which takes into account the energy concept by means of a PV system. The outdoor play area is to be developed into an exciting play and adventure zone with different height plateaus and a high quality of open space with as little earth movement as possible.
With regard to the façade design, the first floor and the upper floor on top of it are to be designed with an aluminum standing seam curtain wall. The basement and first floor are to be built as a solid construction and the upper floor as a timber frame construction.
