Description
The CAMPFIRE implementation project will bundle the design and research for the implementation of the entire "green ammonia" transport chain for direct use in engines and fuel cells for stationary energy supply and maritime mobility as well as for supplying hydrogen filling stations at the Rostock-Poppendorf site. The implementation project thus serves as an initial spark for the development of utilization chains that serve the field of the carbon-free hydrogen economy 2.0 on an industrial scale.
In the CAMPFIRE Open Innovation Lab (COIL), test fields and infrastructures are designed and implemented, reactors and test facilities are developed, manufactured, adapted and optimized, technical support for development work is provided and test operations are carried out.
Containerized test facilities are to be built at COIL on the YARA GmbH und Co KG site. Different types of gas will be used on the test site and in the containers during the tests. Gas sensors and alarm systems, each of which is read and controlled by a gas warning system, are required on the test fields and in the containers to monitor and warn if set limit values are exceeded in the event of a fault. The gas warning systems should be able to communicate with each other in order to trigger alarms across test fields. Suitable gas warning systems are required for this purpose.
