Description
By means of the RFP, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is seeking proposals from bidders for an
assessment of emerging space and water heating technologies including market drivers and barriers to their
commercialization and adoption as well as recommendations on priorities to address for increased adoption of
high efficiency, low carbon space and water heating technologies for residential and commercial buildings in
Canada. To this end the contractor will provide NRCan with the deliverables as described in this document for
the purposes of providing technical analysis, and strategic advice to the Government of Canada on
opportunities for research for emerging space and water heating technologies. The contractor will conduct
interviews with key players, and research that involves technological, regulatory, market, policy, and strategic
analysis to produce one final report on emerging energy efficient and low carbon space and water heating
technologies for new and existing residential and commercial buildings in Canada.
