Description of Work :
DFATD manages Canada’s diplomatic and consular relations, promotes the country’s international trade, and leads Canada’s international development and humanitarian assistance. DFATD maintains Canadian government offices abroad with diplomatic and consular status on behalf of all government departments.
The IM/IT Bureau (SID) plays an important role within DFATD by enabling its ability to achieve priorities and advance the
Government of Canada’s international agenda. The bureau supports the governments’ network of 174 missions in 107
countries and working with partners across the department and elsewhere in government to develop and maintain a large
range of internal and external-facing applications to deliver outcomes for Canada and Canadians.
Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) Directive of the Management of Project and Programmes states that government projects and programmes must be effectively planned, implemented, monitored and controlled, and closed to enable the realization of the expected benefits and results for Canadians. This includes but is not limited to establishing, documenting, and maintaining a department-wide project and programme management framework, consisting of processes, systems and controls, anchored in professional best practices; and implementing processes that promote the coordinated management of related projects to reduce risk, contribute to shared outcomes, and realize efficiencies and benefits not available from managing the projects individually.
The overall objective of this engagement is to support the implementation of the Clarity PPM (CA PPM) solution for Global
Affairs Canada by providing technical guidance, configuration and technical support. Global Affairs Canada requires Clarity PPM specialized resources to implement, support and provide guidance.
