Description
SWO Netz GmbH operates the Thiene waterworks around 20 km north of Osnabrück. With a current production capacity of 820 m³/h and a treatment capacity of around 800 m³/h, it is the largest waterworks in the supply area. In order to meet future capacity and quality requirements, a new waterworks with a treatment capacity of 1,000 m³/h is to replace the existing waterworks at the Thiene site. The new waterworks (incl. pure water tank) and an associated sedimentation plant are to be built on the open areas of the waterworks site in the immediate vicinity of the existing plant. These systems will be supplemented by an emergency power system, an energy center (medium-voltage systems) as well as corresponding underground pipelines for integration into the overall system and the necessary access routes on the waterworks site.The excavation pits for the waterworks and the settling plant were brought forward in a separate award procedure and are already under construction.
