Description

The aim of the PRISMA platform is to support industrial players in the manufacture of parts using the arc-wire additive manufacturing (WAAM) process, from part design to finishing. On the PRISMA platform, this last stage consists in using a machining spindle located at the end of one of the robotized arms, to obtain a neat external appearance of the part and remove excess material to meet the required part dimensions and geometry. To this end, the CEA is looking to acquire a 3D laser scanner that will enable it to accurately reconstruct the geometry of the manufactured part.
