Description

The proposed contract consists of free growing and regeneration plot surveys across the South Zone operating area. The contract may consist of even and un-even aged free growing surveys, regen surveys and survival surveys. Surveys are to be completed as per the most recent Silviculture Survey Procedures Manual. As such, dispersed retention data will also be collected during even aged free growing surveys and basal area included on the survey report. There are approximately 70 survey units totaling 1,775 hectares and approximately 1,623 plots.The term of this agreement is from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, inclusive, and in accordance with the work progress plan.SNAP! survey data collection software must be used in the execution of this contract.The Okanagan-Columbia 2018-2028 FSP commencing September 1, 2018, will be utilized for the term of the contract.The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of field data collection, generating summary reports, and upload to LRM via the SNAP! data link. Changes impacting BCTS clients include new training requirements (Table 008-1, 008-1A, Tailgate Training, SFI Awareness documents, and new Indigenous rights awareness training, as well as changes to training frequency and a new continuing education component). In addition, note changes to EMS/SFM Environmental Field Procedures and Incident Reporting Procedures which occurred June 1, 2022. Supervisors and workers will need to be familiar with these changes prior to commencement of operations.
