Description
In Hamburg's Thalia Theater, the revolving stage, including the understage, the decorative curtain and the BT control system are being renovated. The refurbishment will take place during the season breaks from 2025 to 2028. In the area of the stage and the lower stage, the revolving stage (DB) will be refurbished by upgrading the following components: Rollers, centering pins, crane rail, static upgrading of the steel structure, renewal of supports and beams for inserts, renewal of slip ring bodies, renewal of the rotary drive, installation of new platforms, including drive units, divided into 3 BPs and 3 NFPs, new stage floor, 2 new passenger lowering systems, new paint for the entire steel of the UM.
Outside the stage area, the existing control system will be overhauled during the 2025 season break and the decorative curtain will be fitted with new scissors and drive units, while work on the DB will continue during the 2026 season break with the upgrading of the rollers, the centering pin and the crane rail as well as the installation of the new slip ring body, the new rotary drive and the new podium guides and podium drive units.
During the 2027 season break, the temporary closure of the podium opening will be completely dismantled and the new retractable and stage podiums will be installed and tested. At the same time, the stage floor on the revolving stage and the lower stage of the revolving stage will be renewed and two new PVs will be installed.
Finally, the final commissioning, including testing and acceptance of all components, will take place during the 2028 season break.
