St 2264, renewal of the bridge over the Regnitz near Neuses

State road 2264 links the rural area with the federal trunk road network (A 3, A 73, B 470) and thus forms an important regional transport link. Via the affected structure, the St 2264 crosses the course of the River Regnitz, which is part of the Main-Danube Canal in the affected section of the river and is therefore classified as a federal waterway.
The route of the state road 2264 connects the federal highway 470 with the St 2244. North of the village of Pautzfeld, the St 2264 crosses the Regnitz (Main-Danube Canal; MDK).
Before and after the bridge, industrial estates border the route of the St 2264.
The average traffic volume on this section of the St 2264 is around 7,800 vehicles per day, with a heavy goods vehicle share of around 11.0%.
