Description

Implementation of national digital health programmes is still a fresh concept in Sri Lanka. The government has identified the need to build capacity at:

- a national level

- among professionals and administrators

They will spearhead the implementation of the proposed digital health management programme.

The Sri Lankan government wants:

- 2 (local and foreign) training programmes for important stakeholders

- support from a foreign university or training organisation

The Sri Lankan government plans to:

- strengthen electronic medical records (EMR) systems

- introduce new software systems

- improve the quality and efficiency of the healthcare system
